Request For Quote Template

Purpose of a Request For Quote template

An RFQ template can be very useful in many ways below are a list of reason why it may be useful for you to use a Request for Quote template.

  • Referencing past quotes:  Many of us who are going out for quotes often will create a database or compile the quotes we have received previously for reference purposes.  If all the information is collected in the same format it can make referencing, filtering, or querying more simple.
  • Fill in the blanks:  Often times when getting a quote it is easy to forget important details, this can waste a lot of time and is difficult to avoid without having to “fill in the blanks” of a well-developed RFQ template.
  • Good for Manufacturers: If you are a manufacturer who is quoting prices for customers it may be in your best interest to recommend that your customers use a Request for Quote Template that you have developed, this will help you collect all the information you will need to get accurate pricing, as well as give you the customers contact information for future follow-up.
